production and weekend post (lol i have such boring names for the title *sigh*)

As most of you may know.. Ormiston Senior College performed their first ever school production "For Today" and to those who came along and watched I give you all my thanks and love only because the whole entire cast, stage crew, band, lighting and sound people have worked their butts off to pull of an amazing show and what an amazing show it was. It was such a long journey to achieve what we achieved on the two nights we performed, and in that time we all became such good friends that we all ended up becoming one big happy family that dedicated their Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school to learn lines, sing songs and learn dances. It was all very tiring and frustrating, but a big big thank you to our director Whaea Barbs for all the hard work she's put into this production.

On the week of our performances we had a Tuesday Matinee performance, and we got to perform our first ever show to Year 6 children from Willlow Bank and Baverstock. We had to cut some scenes out because the show was too long for them to sit through, and some lines had to be changed a bit so no one would be offended. "Stop making words up you PIMPLE FACE" was changed from "Stop making words up you DICK", no one on stage knew Johnson was going to say pimple face so we all ended up laughing. Afterwards we were all let out early to go home and some little kids were outside and treating the cast as if they were famous and it was the cutest thing. We asked them if they liked the show and they said they loved it. One little kid even mailed me on FB to give our production some props on how funny it was.

Wednesday night was our opening performance for the open public. It was around 6:50 and we were all called in to warm up and prep before the 7:30 show. And hey, what great luck we had when the power people decided to give the Ormiston area a powercut. THAT WAS SO NICE OF THEM. THANK YOU SO MUCH. The whole cast was trying to keep the energy positive by singing and dancing, it was about 7:20 and we all stood in a circle and said a prayer led by Mika, which left Whaea Barbs in tears because spirit the whole cast had was amazing. It was 7:30 and well.. no power.. no show. We all walked out and i ended up crying a bit because i was majorly disappointed.

Thursday Night was very nerve wracking for EVERYONE. We all arrived at 5:30 to get our makeup done by the cut above makeup artists which have been working with us since the Monday of show week and every time they did the make up for us, it improved. Seriously. The first time i let them touch my face, i was damn sure i wasn't going to let them touch it again. That's how bad it looked. But as time went on, they made it look better every time. So another big thank you to them. Anyways, I had my parents and Raj watching tonight, which made me very very very nervous. I was literally shaking and fidgeting. The power go out this night, which was already a very good sign to me. The show started and when the whole cast had to be on stage, we all were looking at the audience and oooooh look who i see! Raj sitting at the very front in the middle. Great. Everything this night went perfectly. Costume changes. Set Changes. The audience was amazing aswell. After the show people were talking about how funny and amazing it was, and i gotta agree with them on that one.

Friday Night was the final night, and we could feel the buzz dying down a bit with the cast members. Either everyone was really tired, or everyone didn't want this to be our last show. Tonight was a full house. And look who I see at the very front in the middle again.. oh why isnt it my boyfriend. Great. This night wasn't as nerve wracking as Thursday night and everything was still the same, but it was quite messy. At the end of the show we all gave our thankyous. And all came in for a group cuddle. We all said bye to the people who came and then after party happened. We ate heaps of pizza and just talked and laughed and hugged and thanked everyone for being a perfect cast. Then it was the end of the night and end of our little production family.

Sorry this was alot of writing, but it is one of my favourite moments in my life so far, and i had to write about it. Don't worry.. There are still more pictures than words ;) trust me. many selfies were taken. you just wait. But for the "For Today" cast, i love you all and you are all talented and amazing people.

There are way more photos, im telling you, but i think i'll let you see them some other time. Anyways, today is Saturday and my mum and dad wanted to take me out since it's been awhile ive been free to go out with them. My mum took me thrift shopping and ball dress shopping. Both weren't any good, I didnt buy anything. But I did enjoy looking around. We walked around the city for a bit more and my mum always goes into this japanese make up store, which i must say it amazing. They had a sleek booth there aswell, which was cray. And since I've been wanting the au natural palette for ages now, my mum bought it for me and i am forever happy. Here are some photos from today.

I know it's been two weeks that i've updated, but i've just been super busy. To make up for it, Here is a photo of me eating while the other girls look cute, but then there's Tyla creeping on me. See you soon. BYE!
