First Day was alright compared to the second day, but it was still killer. So Julie stayed the night at mine before tramp and we slept at 1 and we had to wake up at 6 to get prepared so we were still pretty tired and cold. We got to school and left in the bus around 8ish and i actually can't remember what time we got to the place, but yeah pretty much we set off and it was alright because it was all flat for the first few hours and you had to go through pitch black tunnels filled with water, so we had to get out torches and try not to trip. There was one tunnel filled with glow worms and i freaked out a bit in the inside and decided to look down cus i was scared they would fall on my head. I can't really remember what happened on this day because it was all such a blur, but i remember there being a river crossing and it was so cold and then suddenly it was a really steep hill and i remember me being on the verge of having a mental breakdown and i remember Raj having to literally drag me up the hill and Happy literally having to drag Shrestha. Then it was a long long long walk to the hut which seemed to be never ending and i lost all motivation then Julie started singing really loud so that kept me sane for awhile, then i started singing with her and i jumped and i got a cramp and i cried cus cramps are so sore and they make me cry ok, but i got the cramp literally 5 minutes away from the hut so i was alright. The boys and the girls both had jobs, so the boys put up both tents and the girls would cook and take down the tents. It was a really nice night. I warmed up some spaghetti which Julie brought (thanks Julie) and shrestha cooked some pasta and tyla made a bit of bacon for the boys to eat, then we all chilled and it was a really nice night. We warmed some marshmallows on the fire and i got to cuddle, talk and eat lollies with my group. There were 5 girls in my tent which kept us very warm. We were singing to the radio the year 11 boys were playing for awhile then we fell asleep and i had a really good rest that night. Might i add there were so many possums everywhere. Two came into our tent and the year 11 in our group scared it away. She's one tough cookie.
HAHAHAHAHHA aw shrestha
I took this photo of the bonfire with the people around it, but some douche turned their flashlight on so it ruined the photo, so i had to crop it.Second day definitely made me depend on my boyfriend so much, i kept telling myself that i was an independent black woman who needed no man, and it turned out that i was just a black woman. So it was alright at first, everything was so lovely in the morning until it started to spit down with rain and we had to take the tents down and we didn't get to eat breakfast and i had to pee. So to me, everything was already going wrong and it was only 8am in the morning. There was a lovely river which we was our first river crossing that day and there were nice rocks to sit on, so we sat there for like 15 minutes mucking around eating food and then we set off through the river and it was me, taz and twinkle tryna get through and ofc shrestha did something weird in the water, she didn't know what to do so she sat down a bit into the water, that weirdo. Anyways, after that it was the steep hill and i found it so fun 'cus i was awake and we had to climb and it took my mind of walking, until later on in the walk where it was just long long long walking and i started to get really impatient. Our group took heaps of breaks this day and the higher up the mountain we got the more lightheaded i was starting to feel, then Julie, Shrestha and I started to sing every single song that's ever been written for atleast 2 hours and it helped us take our mind off everything until Mr Greenwood caught up and we had to climb up the really super steep part which was "3 hours away" from the hut. THEY LIED. IT WAS ATLEAST A GOOD 4-5 HOURS. The first part was really steep and and slippery and the rain didn't make anything better, they kept saying that we were nearly there, but really.. Then it started to get pitch black and i ended up having to look after two friends behind me, which meant Raj had to look after 3 emotionally unstable girls who were seriously on the verge of throwing a tantrum. We were walking and then suddenly there was this tree full of vines on the ground and my whole right leg fell through and i was like.. WHAT. IS THIS 127 HOURS. then raj and taz and farah helped me get out without having to chop my foot off. Then we were off again. We had to cross multiple streams in the dark until i started to get really cold and impatient and hungry and shaking, i started to cry like a baby and then we finally found the hut and i got happy and i turn around and i see Shrestha bawling her eyes out too. Then we ran inside to heat ourselves up by the fire, which was my bestfriend and the boys cooked food for us that night and put up out tents and this that is why you have two caring boys in your group. I stayed in the boys tent for awhile with Happy, Raj and Suhail and William in the girls tent for awhile, and we had weird conversations until a fell asleep for abit then i went back to my tent and slept and woke up at like 4 and i asked if people were awake and then all the girls were like YEAH, so there we all were shaking, so we decided to try wake up the guys who were literally next to us in a different tent and after about 10 minutes they were all awake and we asked if we could go in there and cuddle and they just told us to shutup. whatever. Then julie started singing then all 5 of us fell asleep to her singing. We all woke up for the last day.
Shrestha's ruthless bruise
I have to point out how awkward this photo looks... asfjdkf.
I had to printscreen the photos of me and julies cuts from instagram, sorry.
Third day was a piece of cake. We got our tent down, we ate breakfast, the sun was out and shining, AND most importantly, i got to pee before we left, which meant i didn't have to pee in the bush. Thankgod. So everything was finally looking up for us. It was only a 3 hour walk and there's not much to say about this day really. I got to bond with the boyfee then when we finally reached the bus, all i hear was "hahahaha, you look like you're high" - Dwayne. Thanks man. We were so happy and proud then my parents picked me and Julie up then we grabbed bk and went home and i slept and showered and now im here with a bit of a twisted ankle, blisters, dead toes, cuts on my leg, aching body and an ugly stressed out face and yeah.
Tramp was defs a really weird experience for me. Im just glad that the people we went with were all really nice and supportive and funny. So thank you EVERYONE who was there. You guys are amazeballs. Thank you to Shrestha for trying and making funny jokes, to Tyla being the independent girl who would walk at the front all the time, to Julie for singing and making everything better, to Caitlin for just generally being such a perfect person to be with, to Taz for being so supportive and helpful, to Happy for making us laugh by tripping and falling all the time ;) and finally to Raj for being the most top boyfriend ever by, feeding me, keeping me warm, helping my bestfriends and other people, trying to keep me happy when i was on the verge of mentally breaking down and throwing myself over the cliff, and for staying and caring for me the whole time. Lets just all give these guys a big round of applause. So this was a really long post. So lets end it with selfies of me being tired and grumpy.
